Glazed Oatmeal Raisin Coffee Cookies



1 1/4 cups butter flavored crisco (shortening)
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup sugar
1 egg
1/4 cup coffee flavor liqueur
1 tsp vanilla
1 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
1 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1 1/4 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
3 cups oats (quick or old fashioned, uncooked)
1 1/2 cups raisins
3/4 cups sliced almonds

1 cup powdered sugar
1 tbsp coffee flavored liqueur
1 tsp cold coffee


Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

Cookies Directions: Combine shortening, brown sugar and sugar in large bowl. Beat at medium speed with an electric mixer until well blended. Beat in egg and 1/4 cup liqueur and vanilla.

Combine flour, cinnamon, baking soda and nutmeg. Add gradually to creamed mixture at low speed. Stir in oats, raisins and nuts. Drop by tablespoonfuls 2 inches apart onto ungreased baking sheet.

Bake at 375 degrees for 9-10 minutes. Do not bake. Cool 2 minutes on baking sheet, then remove cookies to wire racks.

Drizzle Directions:
Combine powdered sugar, 1 tbsp liqueur and cold coffee. Mix until blended. Stir until smooth. Drizzle over cooled cookies.

Makes 4 dozen cookies
